Projections

According to CenterPoint Energy, power will not be resotred to my neighborhood until after Sept. 22nd.  Given CenterPoint’s usual level of competence, I am assuming they are talking about Sept. 22, 2009.

Post-Ike Update

My family and I are doing well.  We lost power at about 1:00am Saturday morning, and are still without power.  Otherwise, we have suffered no damage or other complications. I am currently in Brenham, Texas, visiting my cousin and her family.

Ike 2

12:27am Moderate winds here with steady rain. So far, nothing too sever on my side of town, but there are reports that the south side of Houston is getting hit hard.

Ike

8:54pm. Wind and spotty rain. No real change yet.

8:01pm We are starting to get some wind and rain. Ike is only a cat 2, but every talking head in the media is acting like this is the worst storm in history. I will continue to update the blog with details as they come.
