Goodbye, good riddance, whatever…
It’s been said that the Klan is a lot like the mob: the only way to really leave is to die. Well, after a long illness, Senator Robert Byrd (D – KKK) has finally left the Klan for good. Good riddance, I say. The world is a better place with one less Klansman in it.
Speaking good of the dead
As we all have undoubtedly heard by now, Senator Ted Kennedy (D – MA) has passed away after a long bout with brain cancer. Not being one to often speak ill of the dead, I decided that I would find something good to say about Sen. Kennedy. So, here it goes: Ted Kennedy was a strong [...]
RIP: Oscar Mayer
Oscar Mayer died today. Naturally, my first thought was “will his coffin be shaped like a bun?”
RIP
Last week, I blogged about Barack Obama taking a few days to visit his ailing grandmother. Sadly, Ms. Dunham has passed away on the eve of her grandson’s possible election to the highest elected office in America. Regardless of any dislike I may have of Sen. Obama’s political beliefs, I want to take a moment [...]

RIP, Marine
The youngest person to be awarded the Medal of Honor since the Civil War has passed away. From the article: Jack Lucas, who at 14 lied his way into military service during World War II and became the youngest Marine to receive the Medal of Honor, died Thursday in a Hattiesburg, Miss., hospital. He was [...]

My D20 gently weeps
As all four of my regular readers are aware, I am the very definition of the word geek. I have more computer parts than I can count, and I am always on the look out for upgrades. I also play many different role-playing games; not those linear “follow the choices we give you” ‘RPGs’ that [...]
RIP
Completely totalled by some asshat who thought that two vehicles could occupy the same space at the same time. To make matters worse, the guy who hit me got off with only needing a touch-up paint job and a new coat of wax.

Firecracker blogress Catherine Seipp just passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. As someone who has recently lost a family member to cancer, I offer my sympathy and condolences to Cathy’s family and her friends. Susan Estrich has a final farewell. LA Times obit.
