According to CenterPoint Energy, power will not be resotred to my neighborhood until after Sept. 22nd. Given CenterPoint’s usual level of competence, I am assuming they are talking about Sept. 22, 2009.
Post-Ike Blues
Today is the first day back at work after Ike finished treating the Texas Gulf Coast region as its own personal Tina. Downtown is open, for the most part. Post-Ike Update
My family and I are doing well. We lost power at about 1:00am Saturday morning, and are still without power. Otherwise, we have suffered no damage or other complications. I am currently in Brenham, Texas, visiting my cousin and her family.

12:27am Moderate winds here with steady rain. So far, nothing too sever on my side of town, but there are reports that the south side of Houston is getting hit hard.
