I’m not really surprised by this
On Saturday, I blogged about the state of Texas using the threat of punishment to force students to recognize God. Since then, I have spoken with a number of people about it, and have actually managed to find one Christian who finds the concept appalling.
Just one.
Even with all the people I talked to about this, I expected the number of dissenters to be fairly low. One, however, falls far short of my most pessimistic expectations.
If once were to make an observation based on this, one might conclude that the vast majority of Christians condone the use punishments to force their God on the rest of us. Keep this in mind the next time someone tells me I’m overreacting about the looming theocracy in this country.
