Remember that car of mine….

…that got stolen in May?

HPD just called and said they found it in a storage lot not more than 2 miles from my apartment.  Since all tows have to be requested by the apt complex, and no order was given, I can assume that the tow was illegal.  Also, all tows have to be reported to HPD to cross-reference with stolen vehicle reports, and HPD had no record of a tow being reported, just reinforces that belief.

I will have someone’s head on my desk over this.

    So do you at least get it back? Hopefully in some sort of usable/saleable condition? And, I would think, without having to pay storage charges.

    Look at it as a windfall.
