Keep on keepin’ on
Star is still hanging around despite everyone’s predictions. Even her doctor is baffled about this one, especially since she’s eaten and drank very little since last Friday.
Anyway, I’m back in town for class tonight, then back on the road to Abilene. Again, I’m taking the laptop, so I’ll update if I can.

I have this nagging notion that maybe Star is waiting on Jessica. I know she’s certainly stubborn enough.
Honestly, she should see Star whether she wants to or not…it’s one of those things certain to cause regrets later in life. It would be healthy for Jessica to vent in any case. That, and it’s cruel to make her mother stay longer than she has to.
If that is the case, go ahead and give me the phone number so I can utilize my vast supply of Catholic guilt to persuade her grandparents into taking her.
